About EIBA

The European International Business Academy (EIBA) was founded in 1974 under the auspices of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and in close cooperation with the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). The Academy is a professional society for academics and practitioners with an interest in the field of International Business. It has organized an annual conference since its establishment, and the 2012 conference at the University of Sussex is the 38th in the series.

EIBA logoEIBA is governed by a Board, chaired by Peter Buckley (University of Leeds,UK) and comprising elected national representatives from all countries with significant attendance at the annual conference. The Executive Secretary to the Board is Ene Kannel (EIASM), and the current President of EIBA is Roger Strange (University of Sussex ,UK). The governance of EIBA is complemented and supported by the EIBA fellows under the leadership of their Dean, Danny Van Den Bulcke (University of Antwerp, Belgium)

The official EIBA journal is the International Business Review (IBR). Published six times a year, IBR provides a forum for academics and professionals to share the latest developments and advances in the knowledge and practice of International Business. The journal aims to foster the exchange of ideas on a range of important international subjects, and to provide stimulus for research and the further development of international perspectives. The IBR Editor is Pervez Ghauri (King's College London, UK).

In addition, EIBA also publishes an on-line newsletter EIBAzine edited by Filip De Beule (Lessius University College, Belgium) and an annual book series entitled Progress in International Business Research using selected papers from the annual conference. The series is coordinated by Alain Verbeke (University of Calgary,Canada) and Rob van Tulder (RSM Erasmus University,Netherlands).
