Sussex shows consistent improvement across business subjects in 2016 Complete University Guide
Happy student
Following on from Sussex's recent surge in the Complete University Guide's overall ranking (see 'Sussex up to 21st in Complete University Guide'), the Department of Business and Management in particular has also fared very well in the tables, with all of its subject areas rising consistently across the board.
Sussex is now ranked:
- 13th of 100 for Marketing (up seven places from 20)
- 29th of 117 Business and Management Studies (up seven places from 36)
- 32nd of 100 for Accounting and Finance (up 30 places from 62)
Improved employability
The guide’s authors have drawn particular attention to the fact that Sussex has put “considerable effort into improving the employability of its graduates” - this will have been helped in no small part by the continued success of the placements scheme, in which the School of Business, Management and Economics has played a key role. In the past two years, the School's graduate employability score has increased from 60% in 2012 to 82% in 2013. Further gains are expected for 2014 data.
