Centre for Leadership, Ethics and Diversity (LEAD) sponsors 2014 Black Youth Achievements Award
The Centre for Leadership, Ethics and Diversity (LEAD) at the University of Sussex will sponsor a category at the annual Black Youth Achievements (BYA) Awards, to be held in London on Sunday 23 November.
Now in their fifth year, the BYA Awards began in 2009 as a celebration of the accomplishments of young people of African and Caribbean heritage in the UK.
LEAD will sponsor the BYA Education Award, which rewards academic excellence and celebrates those who place value on knowledge and learning.
Professor Robert Livingston, Director of LEAD and Professor of Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management in the Department of Business and Management, said of the sponsorship:
"Given LEAD’s commitment to supporting youth achievement and social equality, the centre is honoured to be asked to sponsor the fifth annual BYA Awards - an event that truly embodies the celebration of excellence and community empowerment."
